Abel Screening has created six tests to prevent child sexual abuse.
Abel Screening, Inc. was established to provide therapists and criminal justice professionals with tests to identify people who are at risk to sexually abuse children.

These are objective assessment suites of tests used by mental health and criminal justice professionals with adults and adolescents who have a variety of sexual behavior problems.
Gene G. Abel, M.D., an internationally recognized research scientist, who has been awarded six long-term National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) grants to study the prevention of child sexual abuse. As a full professor, he has been a research psychiatrist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and has been on the faculty of and conducted research at several medical schools, including Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Emory University Medical School. Currently, Dr. Abel is a professor for Emory and Morehouse Medical Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Abel has published over 100 scientific papers including 19 on the healing of child victims and adult survivors. In 2001, he co-authored The Stop Child Molestation Book with Nora Harlow. Dr. Abel is the founder and president of Abel Screening, Inc., the Director of Behavioral Medicine Institute, a private therapy practice, and the co-founder of the Child Molestation Research & Prevention Institute.
